Taranto plant
The Taranto facility acts as a key operational hub for handling and solidifying liquid sulphur sourced from refining complexes in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
The plant utilizes automated lines powered by IPCO Process System technology, tailored to optimize cooling cycles and convert molten sulphur into a stable, low-dust solid product. Its strategic location and integration with local storage and logistics infrastructure provide continuous support to refining operations, operating under the highest HSE safety and environmental sustainability standards.
Port of Augusta & port logistics
The Port of Augusta serves as the core maritime hub for the international shipping and trading of solid sulphur.
The integrated logistics chain directly connects storage operations at the Melilli plant with quayside activities, utilizing high-performance conveyors and dedicated ship-loading equipment.
Streamlined operational flows and specialized infrastructure enable swift, efficient vessel loading while preserving product integrity and fully adhering to stringent port HSE protocols.
